About the Journal

Journal of Islamic Pedagogical Innovation (JIPI) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal published by the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, Universitas Islam Al Azhar Menganti Gresik, Indonesia. First published in 2026, the journal is issued twice a year, in August and February, and is published in electronic (online) format through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. JIPI serves as an academic forum for researchers, lecturers, teachers, educational practitioners, and policymakers to disseminate original research, systematic literature reviews, and conceptual studies that contribute to the advancement of Islamic education through pedagogical innovation, educational research, and evidence-based practices.

The journal focuses specifically on the field of Islamic Education, encompassing studies on Islamic pedagogy, Islamic Religious Education (PAI), curriculum and learning innovation, digital learning, educational technology and artificial intelligence in Islamic education, instructional design and learning media, assessment and evaluation, teacher professional development, character and values education, pesantren, madrasah, Islamic schools, Islamic higher education, educational leadership and management, inclusive and multicultural education, community-based Islamic education, and contemporary issues related to educational reform and sustainable development in Muslim societies. JIPI encourages interdisciplinary research that integrates Islamic educational values with contemporary educational theories to enhance the quality, relevance, and global competitiveness of Islamic education.
